The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional carries the legendary heritage of the first watch worn on the Moon in 1969. In this special version, a 42 mm case in Omega’s proprietary 18-carat Moonshine™ gold meets a sun-brushed green step dial and a green ceramic bezel with a Ceragold™ tachymeter scale. At its heart beats the manual-winding chronograph calibre 3861, certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS. It is a piece of collector’s value that reinterprets the most iconic watch in space history with the warmth of precious metal.

The Omega Speedmaster was introduced in 1957 and entered history on 20 July 1969 as the first watch worn on the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission. Known ever since as the “Moonwatch”, this legendary chronograph is the symbol of humanity’s greatest adventures of exploration. The Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional 42 mm presents this heritage in a precious and refined interpretation in Omega’s proprietary 18-carat Moonshine™ gold. Paler and more delicate in tone than classic yellow gold, Moonshine™ gold takes its name from the soft glow of moonlight.
Measuring 42 mm in diameter and 13.18 mm in thickness, the case retains the Moonwatch’s asymmetrical silhouette. The green ceramic bezel bears a tachymeter scale crafted with Omega’s Ceragold™ technology, while the dot over 90 is a tribute to the earliest Speedmaster bezels. The sun-brushed green PVD step dial is completed by Moonwatch hands, offering a deep and luminous appearance. The Moonshine™ gold caseback bears the inscription “FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON”.
At the heart of the watch beats Omega’s manual-winding chronograph calibre 3861, featuring a Co-Axial escapement and a silicon balance spring. Certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology, the movement offers a 50-hour power reserve and resistance to magnetic fields exceeding 15,000 gauss. The green alligator leather strap and Moonshine™ gold foldover clasp complete the watch’s elegance. It is a timepiece in which every detail rests on a decision, and every second on a legacy.
