In this version, the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional reinterprets the character of the watch that went to the Moon through a powerful contrast. Inspired by the fourth-generation Speedmaster worn on the Moon, the black double-layer step dial meets white lacquered subdials with rhodium-plated frames. This black-and-white balance lends the dial crisp legibility and modern elegance. The black ceramic bezel carries the “dot over 90” detail on a surface built to stand the test of time. Completed by a 42 mm asymmetrical steel case and a steel bracelet, the watch reveals the manual-winding Master Chronometer calibre 3861 through its transparent sapphire caseback.

After its birth in 1957, the Speedmaster passed NASA’s tests to become the official watch of the space programme. In 1969, it reached the Moon with Apollo 11 and earned the name “Moonwatch”. This version preserves the legend’s familiar silhouette while bringing new light and contrast to its dial. Inspired by the fourth-generation Speedmaster worn on the Moon, the design unites the timeless harmony of black and white with the Moonwatch’s identity.
Measuring 42 mm in diameter and 13.54 mm in thickness, the asymmetrical stainless steel case carries the Speedmaster’s renowned proportions. The black ceramic bezel features a tachymeter scale and the “dot over 90” detail, and thanks to ceramic it retains its colour and lustre for years. Beneath a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on the inside lies the varnished and lacquered black double-layer step dial. Framed in rhodium plating, the white varnished and lacquered subdials carry the small seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour recorders. These subdials create a striking and highly legible contrast against the black ground.
Through the transparent sapphire caseback, Omega’s manual-winding chronograph calibre 3861 is on display. The movement’s rhodium-plated bridges are decorated with straight Geneva waves. Equipped with a Co-Axial escapement, a silicon balance spring and a free-sprung balance, the calibre is certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology. It offers a 50-hour power reserve and magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss. The polished and brushed steel bracelet, with its foldover clasp featuring a comfort setting, makes the watch comfortable and refined for everyday wear. It is a timepiece in which every detail rests on a decision, and every second on a legacy.
