Since its birth in 1984, in collaboration with the Italian aerobatic team Frecce Tricolori, the Breitling Chronomat has stood as one of the brand’s most powerful symbols. This special edition of the Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 honours Breitling’s strong bond with the Middle East and the region’s cultural heritage. Produced in just 100 pieces, it is a true collector’s piece. Measuring 40 mm in diameter and 11.7 mm in thickness, the stainless steel case is crowned by the unidirectional rotating bezel that is a Chronomat signature.
On the sunray green dial, Eastern Arabic numerals plated in 18-carat red gold lend the watch a unique identity. Gold-plated hour and minute hands filled with Super-LumiNova, a red GMT hand with a luminous arrow tip and a contrasting 24-hour scale on the inner flange make a second time zone legible at a single glance. The date window at 6 o’clock completes the dial’s symmetry. At the heart of the watch beats the automatic Breitling Calibre 32, a COSC-certified chronometer. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, the movement offers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours.
Inspired by the iconic Chronomat of the 1980s, the Rouleaux bracelet, with its rounded links, gives the watch both a comfortable fit and a distinctive appearance.
