Since the 1960s, the Breitling Top Time has been one of the brand’s most characterful models. The Top Time B31 unites this iconic heritage with a milestone in Breitling’s history: the first three-hand manufacture calibre developed in-house by the brand. Measuring 38 mm in diameter and just 10.31 mm in thickness, the stainless steel case is protected by a cambered sapphire crystal, glareproofed on both sides. On the cream-toned white dial, applied indexes, Super-LumiNova-coated hour and minute hands, a bright orange seconds hand and an enlarged date window come together.
At the heart of the watch beats Breitling’s automatic manufacture calibre B31. A COSC-certified chronometer, the movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and with a power reserve of approximately 78 hours, it continues to run without pause even when taken off for the weekend. Its free-sprung balance, skeletonised oscillating weight, Côtes de Genève and perlage decoration can be admired in every detail through the screw-down sapphire caseback.
In harmony with the warm tones of the cream dial, the beige calfskin strap lends the watch a refined, vintage-inspired appearance, while the stainless steel pin buckle completes it with a classic touch.
