The Bovet Miss Audrey Sweet Art brings to the dial a material never before used in watchmaking: genuine sugar crystals. Blended with special paints, the crystals are applied one by one by hand by Bovet’s miniature painter, making every dial unique. Its 36 mm diamond-set steel Amadéo case can be worn as a wristwatch or a pendant, or displayed as a table clock. The Bovet Miss Audrey Sweet Art was born of an inspiration rooted in the way Pascal Raffy, owner of the Maison, refers to his children as his “sweethearts.” After nearly a year of trials, a material never before used in watchmaking was brought to the dial: pure sugar crystals. Prepared so as to remain unaltered by light and heat, the crystals are sorted by size, blended with special paints and applied one by one by hand by Bovet’s miniature painter. Thanks to this patent-protected technique, every dial is a unique work of art. The distinctive form of the hour and minute hands, meanwhile, creates a heart once every hour, as the minute hand catches up with the hour hand.
The watch is presented in Bovet’s patented Fleurier Amadéo® convertible case. Measuring 36 mm in diameter, the stainless steel case can be worn as a wristwatch on its strap or as a pendant on a chain, or stand on its own as a table clock. The diamond-set bezel and bow, together with the sapphire cabochons on the crown and strap bolts, endow the watch with true jewellery refinement. At the heart of the watch beats the automatic 11BA15 calibre, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a 42-hour power reserve.
