The Breitling Superocean Heritage is a contemporary interpretation of the Ref. 1004 and Ref. 807, which the brand designed for professional divers in 1957. The Superocean Heritage B01 Chronograph 42 unites this deep-rooted heritage with Breitling’s flagship manufacture calibre. Measuring 42 mm in diameter and 14.55 mm in thickness, the case combines the robustness of stainless steel with the warmth of 18-carat red gold. The ceramic-inlaid, unidirectional ratcheted bezel provides scratch resistance while lending the watch a lustrous depth.

On the black dial beneath a cambered sapphire crystal glareproofed on both sides, tone-on-tone subdials and the arrow-shaped hour hand and spear-shaped minute hand inherited from the original 1957 models give the watch a distinctive identity. The date window at 6 o’clock completes the dial’s symmetry. At the heart of the watch beats Breitling’s COSC-certified manufacture calibre, the B01. Fitted with 41 jewels, this automatic chronograph movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The finesse of the movement can be admired through the screw-down sapphire caseback.
