The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional presents the heritage of the watch that went to the Moon with contemporary durability. In this version, the sapphire crystal protects the black step dial and applied Omega logo, while the transparent sapphire caseback reveals the craftsmanship of the manual-winding Master Chronometer calibre 3861. The tachymeter bezel with its “dot over 90” detail and the 42 mm asymmetrical steel case carry the Speedmaster’s legendary silhouette. The steel bracelet with five arched links per row and comfort-setting clasp makes the watch ready for everyday wear. The Co-Axial movement offers a 50-hour power reserve and magnetic resistance of 15,000 gauss.

Born in 1957, the Speedmaster passed NASA’s tests to become the official watch of the space programme and reached the Moon with Apollo 11 in 1969. This historic journey earned it the name “Moonwatch”. With its sapphire crystal and steel bracelet, this version adds two privileges to the legend without changing its appearance: a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a transparent caseback that opens onto the heart of the movement.
Measuring 42 mm in diameter and 13.18 mm in thickness, the asymmetrical 316L stainless steel case preserves the Speedmaster’s renowned silhouette. The anodised aluminium bezel bears a tachymeter scale and the “dot over 90” detail well known to collectors. Beneath a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on the inside lie the black step dial and the applied Omega logo. Three subdials for small seconds, the 30-minute recorder and the 12-hour recorder maintain the Speedmaster’s symmetrical and legible layout.
Through the transparent sapphire caseback, Omega’s manual-winding chronograph calibre 3861 can be admired in every detail. With rhodium-plated bridges decorated with straight Geneva waves, the movement features a Co-Axial escapement, a silicon balance spring and a free-sprung balance. Certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology, the calibre offers a 50-hour power reserve and magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss. With its polished and brushed surfaces and five arched links per row, the steel bracelet sits fluidly on the wrist with its foldover clasp featuring a comfort setting. It is a timepiece in which every detail rests on a decision, and every second on a legacy.
