The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 6000M Ultra Deep carries the legacy of the watch that reached the deepest point on Earth. This interpretation of the original model, developed for the Five Deeps Expedition in 2019, is one of Omega’s most robust dive watches, with water resistance to 6,000 metres and ISO 6425:2018 certification, the standard for saturation diving. Its 45.5 mm case is crafted from O-MEGASTEEL, an alloy exclusive to Omega. The orange ceramic bezel, gradient dial shifting from grey to black and 18K white gold hands create a powerful look reminiscent of the ocean’s depths. Calibre 8912, certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS, offers a 60-hour power reserve and a time-zone function.

The most ambitious member of the Seamaster family, which has upheld its bond with the sea since 1948, the Ultra Deep reached the bottom of the Mariana Trench, the deepest point on Earth, during the Five Deeps Expedition in 2019. Omega turned the watch born from this historic achievement into a series model that brings the spirit of exploration to the wrist. Measuring 45.5 mm in diameter and 18.12 mm in thickness, the case is crafted from O-MEGASTEEL, an alloy exclusive to Omega. This stainless steel alloy stands out for its resilience in extreme conditions. With its screw-in, self-locking crown, the case offers water resistance to 600 bar, or 6,000 metres, and meets the ISO 6425:2018 standard for saturation diving, verified by METAS through nine separate tests. The polished orange ceramic ring of the unidirectional rotating bezel bears a diving scale crafted in liquid ceramic and Super-LumiNova. Beneath a domed sapphire crystal glareproofed on both sides lies the lacquered dial, deepening from grey to black. Four orange Arabic numerals and 18K white gold hands and indexes coated with white Super-LumiNova ensure clear reading even in the darkness of the ocean.
The grade 5 titanium medallion on the caseback bears a laser-engraved Sonar emblem and the Omega Seahorse. Inside the case runs Omega’s automatic calibre 8912, featuring a Co-Axial escapement and a silicon balance spring. Offering a 60-hour power reserve from two barrels mounted in series, the movement is certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology. The movement resists magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss and offers a time-zone function that can be adjusted without stopping the watch. The O-MEGASTEEL bracelet, with its foldover clasp featuring a comfort setting and diver extension, completes the watch’s powerful character. It is a timepiece in which every detail rests on a decision, and every second on a legacy.
