Measuring 42 mm in diameter and 13.79 mm in thickness, the polished and brushed 316L stainless steel case sits in balance on the wrist with a compact lug-to-lug measurement of 47.50 mm. The polished black ceramic ring of the unidirectional rotating bezel bears a white enamel diving scale. The bezel’s inner ring is crafted from polished grade 5 titanium. Beneath a flat sapphire crystal glareproofed on both sides, the matte black dial features rhodium-plated hands and indexes filled with white Super-LumiNova. Four open-worked rhodium-plated Arabic numerals, the Planet Ocean’s signature, also take their place on the dial. This pure composition ensures the highest legibility in deep water and in the dark.

The screw-in crown and screw-in titanium caseback, engraved with the Omega seahorse emblem, guarantee water resistance to 60 bar, or 600 metres. Inside the case runs Omega’s automatic calibre 8912, featuring a Co-Axial escapement and a silicon balance spring. Offering a 60-hour power reserve from two barrels mounted in series, the movement is certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology. This certification also covers magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss. The time-zone function, whose hour hand can be adjusted without stopping the watch, brings great convenience when travelling.
