Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional

The Speedmaster was born in 1957. It passed NASA’s tests to become the official watch of the space programme and earned the name “Moonwatch” when it reached the Moon with Apollo 11 in 1969. With its white dial and rubber strap, this version is one of the legend’s most dynamic interpretations. Its luminous dial and light strap prepare the Moonwatch for every moment, from weekend escapes to active days.

Measuring 42 mm in diameter and 13.18 mm in thickness, the asymmetrical stainless steel case preserves the Speedmaster’s world-renowned silhouette. The black anodised aluminium bezel, with its tachymeter scale and “dot over 90” detail, forms a graphic frame around the white dial. Beneath a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on the inside lies the white lacquered step dial. The applied Omega logo and indexes add depth to the dial, while Moonwatch-style hands ensure clear legibility. Three subdials for small seconds, the 30-minute recorder and the 12-hour recorder maintain the Speedmaster’s classic layout.

Through the transparent sapphire caseback, Omega’s manual-winding chronograph calibre 3861 is on display. Featuring a Co-Axial escapement, the movement is certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology. The calibre offers a 50-hour power reserve and magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss. The underside of the integrated black rubber strap is engraved with a lunar surface pattern.
